Necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary to ensure the functionality of the website and cannot be turned off in our systems. They are usually set up only in response to activities you perform that constitute a service-related request, such as setting privacy preferences, signing in, or filling out forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you to such cookies, in which case some parts of the site may not work.

Performance cookies

These cookies allow us to determine the number of visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us identify which sites are the most and least popular, and see how many visitors are moving around the site. All information that these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not enable these cookies, we will not know when you visited our site.

Order, reservation, prolongation of documents

You can use your User Account for these electronic services:

 

Electronic document request

  • search for the document in the Online Catalog and click on the icon Borrow,
  • choose the library branch where is requested document available and confirm your request,
  • you obtain of information on creating a request and pick up deadline of the document,
  • pick up the requested document at the selected library branch two hours after sending the request. The document located in the Library depository will be ready within two working days.

NOTE ➡ Failure to pick up the required document will result in a penalty fee (see Price List of Fees and Services of University Library of MBU). You can cancel the request by contacting one of the library staff (please choose some the reading room).

 

Reservation of a borrowed document

  • search for the document in the Online Catalog and click on the icon Reserve,
  • choose the library branch where the requested document is available,
  • enter the date until the reservation is still relevant for you,
  • confirm the request.

We will inform you by e-mail or text message about the availability of the document and the time of holding the reservation.

You can cancel the reservation in your User Account free of charge.

 

Prolongation of the loan period

  • open your User Account and click on icon Loans,
  • select the document(s) by clicking on the box at the begining of document line,
  • confirm the selection.

The loan period can be extended no more than twice and no earlier than 7 days before its expiration.

 

Not able to extend the loan period? There are some possible reasons:

  • you do not have a valid registration,
  • you have already extended the loan period twice,
  • the book has already been reserved by another user,
  • you are renewing the loan period 7 days before the expiraton or after the date of return,
  • you have some debt in the Library.

The user is responsible for meeting the loan period. The University Library informs users about expiration of the loan period via e-mail or text message. These services are supplementary, not receiving the e-mail or text message is not a reason for violating the loan period or forgiving penalty fees (for more infomation see Article 13, paragraph 3 of the Library Rules and Regulations of MBU).
