Lending services

The University Library provides users with off-site and on-site loans at seven workplaces:

  • Universal Reading Room and Euroepan Documentation Centre, Tajovského Street 51
  • Economic Reading Room, Tajovského Street 10
  • Self-Education Centre, Street to Amfiteater 1
  • Reading Room of Education, Ružová Street 15
  • Reading Room of Politological Sciences, Kuzmányho Street 1
  • Reading Room of Law, Komenského Street 20
  • Lending Department, Tajovského Street 40

The University Library provides off-site lending only to registered users and in accordance with Directive no. 6/2021 of Library Rules and Regulations of the Matej Bel University:

  • every person who is 15 years of age or older can register; a valid ID card or passport (foreign students) is necessary,
  • full-time students, external students and MBU staff are required to submit their students or employee ID card (ISIC or ITIC) upon registration,
  • registration is valid by completing the application at ases.umb.sk and paying the registration fee in cash or by bank transfer,
  • present services in the reading rooms can be used after paying a single fee; the fee is valid for one day and is valid in all reading rooms.
